Welcome to Align and Nourish.

Founded by Alexandra, a devoted practitioner and guide, we specialise in the ancient practice of Tantric Yoga — a holistic path to empowerment that transcends mere physical postures.

Based in the Sunny Bay of Plenty, NZ

Yoga is built on three main elements – movement, breath and meditation.

  • Movement (Asana)

At the heart of our journey lies the practice of asana, the physical postures of Tantric Yoga. Under Alexandra's guidance, you'll explore a series of movements designed not just for physical flexibility and strength, but as a means to unlock and harmonise the body's latent energies. Each posture is a step towards balancing the physical with the spiritual, creating a fluid conduit for energy to flow freely. In this phase, movement becomes a form of silent language, a way to communicate and connect with the deeper aspects of self, preparing the body as a temple for enlightenment.

  • Breath (Pranayama)

Breath is the life force, the vital bridge between the body, mind, and spirit. In the breathwork phase, Alexandra introduces you to the transformative power of pranayama, teaching you how to harness the breath to influence the flow of energy within. This practice is essential for purifying the nadis (energy channels) and balancing the chakras, leading to enhanced mental clarity, emotional stability, and a profound sense of inner peace. Through conscious breathing, we learn to control the subtle energies within, paving the way for deeper meditation and heightened states of consciousness.

  • Meditation (Dhyana)

The culmination of our practice, meditation invites you to transcend the physical and mental realms, reaching a state of deep contemplation and unity with the universe. Alexandra guides you through various meditation techniques, drawing from the variation of Tantric traditions, to help you explore the landscape of your inner world. This phase is about stillness and surrender, allowing you to observe the mind, connect with your higher self, and experience the bliss of oneness. Through regular meditation, you cultivate a serene mind and an open heart, unlocking the doors to enlightenment and self-realisation.

“The purpose of yoga is to build strength, awareness and harmony in both the mind and body,”

“I recently had several one on one yoga sessions with Alexandra. It is one of the best decisions I've made. Alexandra talked me through each yoga pose and answered all the queries relating to theory l've been wanting to ask. Each session is tailored for you specifically and it's impossible not get the poses correct and improve. Alexandra's teaching has given me fundamental yoga poses that are beneficial for me, providing a great base to extend my practice. I've never felt so incredibly relaxed and grounded after completing a yoga session”
